Charley Barleys is an independent, family run business. Charlotte and Cassie are sisters who have always dreamt about opening a nursery together to combine their talents and experience; Cassie has a business degree and valuable administrative skills, and Charlotte has over twenty years experience working in and managing nursery settings all over Brighton and Hove.

The children in our care are central to everything we do, and their wellbeing, learning and development are paramount. We strongly consider providing a setting which offers a ‘home away from home’ for the children is key, as children learn best in nurturing and caring environments with staff who celebrate their individuality and strengths. Therefore, we are so proud of our passionate, dedicated and hard working work force who spend every day building strong attachments to make the children feel safe, whilst planning exciting, motivating and stimulating activities to develop a lifelong love of learning.

 

Our aim for every child in our setting is for them to develop all the tools they need to thrive; to be confident, caring, social, excellent communicators, empathetic, and excited to learn, explore and play. Charley Barleys offer this through our nurturing environment, caring staff who understand and celebrate every child’s individuality and a range of activities that are centred around every child’s interests, next steps and needs. We strive to develop excellent working relationships with parents/ carers and encourage them to actively contribute to our planning cycle, to continue the learning between the home and nursery environment.

 

We have excellent relationships with the local community and are so proud of the excellent reputation we have developed. We are a reflective setting and a constantly working to develop our setting and make it better and better. We are very proud of our ‘Outstanding’ OFSTED rating, along with our fantastic feedback we receive daily from our wonderful parents/ carers.
